Adventure of a Marginally Successful Musician - book review

I met Bill in 2015 during this tour stop with Neil Diamond in upstate NY. I listened to some of his songs on the internet. The guy is multi talented. Just finished reading his book slice by slice. I've been an artist all my life, and always thought, an artist , is an artist, is an artist. I mean, we all 'kind of ' have the same creative and managerial problems, right ? Musicians are 'out there' all the time and as his books describes, they're team players, something I've never dealt with on a daily basis in my career.
I found inspirational gems in his book like,  ' connecting with your subject in songwriting, relating to your subject, then transferring that emotion, having the song speak to someone else.  I used some of his quotes in my workshop last week - they related so well to painting. We're all out there trying to find our own creative language to communicate better - Bill Cinque has found his...He comes across as entertainingly funny, and a humble guy, check him out. www.billcinque.com

The only way to stick with a New Year's resolution is

Don't be ordinary - resolutions are what the ordinary people do for New Year.  
 Don't set yourself up to fail. 

The feeling of 'why can't I stick with it - is what inevitably sticks with you instead.

So... what can you do ?
Find something that changes your thinking, just ONE thing' and you take that first step towards a changed 2015. 
No resolutions, no promises, no bargains with God or the Devil ...we're not meant to be clean slates. Our lives are about memories - if you feel lost, turn around and reflect - if you feel happy, truly savor the moment and smile with gratitude. It's about just you and no one knows you or what motivates you better than you do.                            

Can you feel the possibilities that just crossed over from 2014 ?
